ICPF Conducts National Student Survey

This spring, ICPF conducted its first national student survey which will assist in the outreach to students and serve as a benchmark for current national student awareness of available careers in corrugated packaging and design.  The contracted survey was conducted by telephone over four full days using a national random sample of 18,000 undergraduate students.

ICPF commissioned the national student survey to confirm or further understand a number of components of student opinions that would be of use to ICPF outreach efforts:

  • Awareness of the corrugated packaging and display industry and its career opportunities,
  • Factors that influence career exploration and choice,
  • Awareness of the broad courses of study (packaging, business, engineering, architecture, etc.) from which the corrugated packaging and display recruits, and
  • Student receptivity to various messages on the positive attributes of careers in corrugated packaging & display.

The survey additionally served as a national marketing tool to further expand the knowledge of corrugated packaging and display careers among those students interviewed.
