Cicero, IL….Schwarz Partners Packaging and The Royal Group announced at Royal's May 2008 annual management meeting that the companies are making a combined $100,000 pledge to the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) in honor of Jordan Nerenberg, Royal's Chairman.

 

Schwarz Partners Packaging partnered with the Royal management team to purchase The Royal Group from the Nerenberg family in 2007. Sam Nerenberg started The Royal Continental Box Company in 1922 and the business remained under the continuous control of the family until the acquisition last year. “It has been a seamless transition,” said CEO, Bob McIlvaine after the presentation. “We are very pleased with our new relationship with the Schwarz family and we are thrilled that Jack Schwarz chose to honor Jordan in this way”.

 

Jack and John Schwarz with Schwarz Partners Packaging, ICPF President Richard Flaherty, and Dwight Schmidt, Fibre Box Association President were on hand for the presentation. Richard presented Jordan with a plaque that read,  In recognition of your lifetime work and innovation in the Industry, Schwarz Partners Packaging and The Royal Group have made a Regent financial pledge to support the work of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) and will participate as partners in the ICPF CorrAlliance in your honor. Richard told the audience “ We know this significant donation will make it more likely that we can draw potential leaders into our industry that one day will make the incredible contribution Jordan has made during his 50 year plus career in the box business.

In accepting the award, Mr. Nerenberg stated, “This donation made in my honor is the most significant gift I could have received. It gives me great pride to think that I am helping attract new people into an industry which is still full of opportunity for hard working entrepreneurs.”
