ICPF Announces Scheduling of 2008 Holiday Weekend in New York for December 12 & 13, 2008
New York, NY … This past month, 50 supporters of the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) gathered in New York City to socialize, network, and enjoy the best that New York City had to offer for the holiday season…all while raising funds for ICPF operations. The majority arrived early to take in a Broadway play of their selection before joining the Friday evening opening reception at the Westin New York at Times Square. Many of the reception participants got a peek at this year's Heisman Trophy that was given the next night to University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow (UF is one of the 2007 recipients of an ICPF CAD Table) before gathering among the event's dazzling 25 foot indoor holiday trees. On Saturday, ICPF participants toured and shopped in New York before being delighted by the 75th Anniversary Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, followed by an exclusive back stage tours (sponsored by Bobst Group North America ) that included photo ops with the Rockettes. That evening the ICPF executive group and spouses socialized during a reception and dinner under candle light in the renowned FireBird Restaurant.
After dinner, ICPF Chairman, Michael D'Angelo, Vice President of Bobst Group North America, announced that ICPF's2008 Holiday Weekend in New York has been scheduled for Friday and Saturday December 12 & 13, 2008. “This inaugural event couldn't have been more enjoyable for all those who attended. Friendships were made. A great time and a worthy cause make for the best combination. Don't be left out next year. Participants are encouraged to register early for what I anticipate to be a sell out event”
Sunday allowed time for participants to have brunch, tour museums and additional shops before traveling home for the work week.
