Last weekend's ICPF New York holiday event was another "SELL OUT". So, mark your calendar to make early reservations for ICPF's 2013 Holiday Weekend in NYC, Friday & Saturday, December 13 & 14, 2013.
 
As a result of increased promotion of SuperCorrExpo on ICPF partner campuses, and the reduction in faculty and student registration fees that was secured by ICPF in working with TAPPI and AICC, this past month's Expo had the largest participation by faculty and students to date. Students and faculty from Bowling Green State University, Clemson University, Millersville University, University of Texas-Arlington and Virginia Tech congregated throughout the week at ICPF's booth to meet corrugated packaging executives and learn more about corrugated career opportunities.
 
During the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) Board of Director's meeting at SuperCorrExpo in Atlanta, GA, AICC Region One Director, Kim Feterik (Orange County Container) presented a check for $13,045 from Region One to George Sickinger, ICPF Chairman and CEO of Color Resolutions International. This donation followed two earlier $10,000 donations to ICPF made by Region One (AZ, CA, HI and NV) in 2010 and 2011.
 
Over the past year, the International Corrugated Packaging Foundation (ICPF) has been conducting surveys and contacting colleges and universities in Texas to potentially establish the state's first higher educational program offering corrugated curricula and structural design instruction. After extensive discussion with ICPF corporate partners and work with several universities, University Texas- Arlington was identified as offering the best opportunity for an ICPF educational partnership to develop qualified graduates for the region's corrugated industry.

On February 22, 2012, ICPF conducted its 13th annual, live International Careers in Corrugated Packaging & Display Teleconference. Over 450 packaging, graphic communications & design, marketing & sales, supply chain management and other business students and faculty from 17 campuses participated.
 
This past month, ICPF posted its recently updated, online corrugated packaging curricula for colleges and universities. ICPF's updated curricula now has an expanded teaching module on the issue of sustainability.
